What to expect from a golf simulator installation
A professional golf simulator installation covers far more than hanging a screen. A good installer will measure your ceiling height, room depth and swing clearance, plan the enclosure and impact screen, lay turf and underlayment, mount the projector and launch monitor, and tune everything so the ball flight on screen matches what you see in real life.
Most home installs are completed in one to three days once materials arrive. Commercial venues with multiple bays are typically phased over one to two weeks. Every installer in this directory builds with One Stop Sim Shop impact screens, bumpers, enclosures and turf, so you get the same handmade quality whether you hire an installer or build it yourself.
Installer FAQs
How much does a golf simulator installation cost?
Installation labor alone typically runs $1,500 to $5,000 for a home bay, depending on the size of the enclosure, whether turf and underlayment are being laid, and how much finish work (lighting, drywall, cabinetry) is involved. Commercial multi-bay projects are quoted per bay. Materials from One Stop Sim Shop are priced separately, so ask your installer for an itemized quote.
How much room do I need for a golf simulator?
As a rule of thumb, plan for at least 9 to 10 feet of ceiling height, 12 feet of width and 16 feet of depth. Taller golfers or players with a steep swing may need more ceiling clearance. An installer will measure your space and recommend a screen and enclosure size that keeps swing clearance safe while filling the room.
How long does installation take?
Most single-bay home installs are finished in one to three days once all materials are on site. Finished impact screens have a lead time of around two to three weeks and enclosure components two to four weeks, so plan the install date around material delivery.
